The 14th edition of the hottest national endurance race, Sepang 1000km (S1K) race returns on 17, 18 and 20 November 2022 at Sepang International Circuit (SIC), with 2022 drawing to a close.
This year would be a fantastic finale to our official race calendar with the highest entry since 2019 with maximum grid slots of 77 cars, competing in two different classes; M Production Class and S Production Class for production cars below 1600cc. After two years of travel restrictions due to the pandemic, we are thrilled to have an exciting race with entries from neighbouring countries such as Singapore, Indonesia and many more.
Some changes to this year’s edition, the Free Practice will be on Thursday and Qualifying Sessions will be on Saturday. The race will be flagged off on Sunday from 9:30 am and ends at 6:30 pm with a total of 181 laps.
In 2021, the winners for the M Production category were Leona Chin and her partners, Mohd Nasri Bin Md Said, Tham Yik Choon and Akina Teo from the privateer team. The first runner up, Yee Kok Jun, Mah Siew Chean, Foo Yung Chieh and Aaron Lim Say Joon from Tedco Racing and third place from WingHin Motorsports, Hayden Haikal and Timothy Yeo Renquan.
The overall S Production category winners were from R Engineering, Lai Wee Sing and Calvin Damian Wong. The second place were also from R Engineering with their drivers, Chow Teck Song and Putera Adam while the privateer team, Pee Sau Fan, Ian Wong Jien Sern and Baron Sim Kwong Teck secured the third place.

Free entry to the Main Grandstand and Paddock Entry is up for grab at RM106 to get up close and personal to the competitors. The race can also be streamed live on the SIC Facebook page. Join us to see who will be on the podium for this year’s edition.
S1K is organized by SIC, supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Malaysia (KBS), and sanctioned by Motorsports Association of Malaysia (MAM).
